About the Chief Okemos Council
The purpose of the Chief Okemos
Council, Boy Scouts of America, is to mobilize resources and
organize efforts to extend Scouting Programs to any child who
wants to join.
The Chief Okemos Council serves
over 7,000 youth in Ingham, Eaton and Clinton
counties, and the School District of Portland. In our tri-county
area, over 2,000 dedicated volunteers donate
their time and talents to Scouting.
The Council guides and supports
the activities of all area PACKS, TROOPS, CREWS, POSTS and LEARNING
FOR LIFE GROUPS. We encourage our volunteers and Scouts to actively
promote and practice the values expressed in the Scout
Oath and Law
through active outdoor learning programs, service to others,
leadership, training opportunities, and career education.
Join us for fun,
friendships, and learning!
